Are you a sun and a rock?


   The sun gives light to our world. It stands out in our sky. Sometimes clouds cover it, but the sun will always find a way to let its light shine.

   You and I must also be a light to the world. We must stand strong and be steadfast in God  and always try to let our light shine. Some people will try to break us down but we must always be ready to break through the clouds.The sun will sometimes be covered with clouds, and sometimes you and I will be pulled down by people,but that must not stop us.
                                                  
 

   A rock in the middle of the see is always being crashed by waves  and weather. It will stand there night and day. It will always be there no matter what.

   We must be like rocks. Ready to stand firmly night and day for our family and our friends.We must always be there in the tough times and in the good times.

Healthy choices and exercise


 2016! Wow, it's a new year with in a new  grade,with new sports and new challenges!

 This year my mom, brother and I decided to start our year with lots of exercise and healthy food choices. We started running, doing sprints(sprints are very hard after each sprint I found myself in the swimming pool), and an obstacle course, doing push ups, sit ups and much more. We are working towards a higher fitness level.

 Exercising is not easy, but once I got into a rhythm, it became easier. For example,  I started with  five push-ups a day and slowly  increased it!

 Healthy choices are difficult to make, because I like sweets(yummy) more than I  like vegetables, I like water but a like juice more. Making  healthy choices are not easy, but the more I make them the easier they become. The last  time I went to a restaurant I did not drink a coca-cola or a milkshake I made the healthy choice to drink water.      

 I hope this inspired you to make healthy choices and to exercise!



       

Exercises

Exercise is very important. . It keeps you healthy and fit.

Here are some exercises you should try:
push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, burpees, plank, skipping, dips, rope climbing, crunches, pull-ups, squats.

Do these exercises  for a min each. Remember you are not going to get it 100% right the first time. (if at first you don't succeed try and try again.)

Then there are even more exercises you can do: running, sprinting, swimming, and riding your bike.

... life long learning.

 I home school!

      Most people have a misconception about home schooling. Some think  it means doing what you want, when you want, if you want! Although some do, I actually have a million books I read and follow a program  every day(although some days we take off!). For me, home schooling is being with my mum or dad and learning in a fun way! I am exposed to  stuff that I never thought of, or never even new existed! I am  learning without feeling pressurized.

    My parents  choose what I learn, which books we use and the schedule. We have a flexible routine, starting between 8:00 and 8:30 and finishing, well when we finish!

   Home schooling is who I am and how I learn. It would be hard to imagine going to a regular school. I love homeschooling and I know you would to!

    I do not have to worry about making friends because most schools allow me to take part in their sporting activities, and I also do sport at various clubs.There are  homeschooling groups all over the world, that means meeting other homeschoolers and doing stuff with them is possible for everyone. I even have pen pals all over the world!

    My mom  teaches my brother and I all we need to know! My mom chooses what suit's us the best. If something is too easy she makes it a little more difficult, and if it's too difficult she makes it a little easier.

   I love reading, it's one of my favorite things to do, I have read hundreds of books, and all because my mom always read aloud to us.

  Life long learning!!!
